The six accused in the brutal gang-rape of a 23-year-old woman here were arrested following a "painstaking and meticulous operation", Delhi Police said Saturday.
"We have arrested all the six accused involved in the Sunday's rape incident. It was a painstaking and meticulous operation... our team has done a good work," Deputy Commissioner of Police (South)Chhaya Sharma told media persons here.
Police also said that the victim, who is admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital, gave her statement to a sub-divisional magistrate.
"She was very eager to give the statement and was happy to hear that all the accused were caught," Sharma said.
Outrage has been swelling across the country after the woman was tortured and subjected to brutal gang-rape in a moving private bus Dec 16 in Delhi while she and a male friend were going home after watching a film.
